Brewferm:
All these kits come with exactly the same yeast. It’s a kind of universal top fermenting yeast that can be used for all kinds of beers.
Muntons/Brewmaker:
The yeast strain that we use in our Muntons Gold and Premium Gold ranges are the same for every beer kit. We do not use different strains for different beers. We have found that the Muntons Premium Gold yeast gives the best fermentation results, produces a clean taste in the final beer and is very reliable.

We have found that the Muntons Premium Gold yeast gives the best fermentation results, produces a clean taste in the final beer and is very reliable.
We have two types of beer yeast that we use for our beer kits: Our Premium Gold yeast – used in 3kg and 3.6kg beer kits (all-malt recipe beer kits) and our Muntons ale yeast used in our beer kits that call for the addition of sugar. If the Brewmaker beer kits are from the Brewmaker Premium or Essential ranges (sugar needed) these will also use the ale yeast. The Brewmaker 3kg beer kits (Best of British range) use the premium gold yeast.
