Premesso che la lagerizzazione inizia dopo il raggiungimento della fg e che quindi non dovrebbe più essere prodotta CO2: quando tengo 1-2 mesi il fermentatore a 2 °C per lagerizzare, in teoria potrei semplicemente mettere un coperchio a tenuta senza sfiato. Allora, come mi comporto con il gorgogliatore ?
E' necessario ? inutile ? dannoso ? meglio usarlo ? lo metto perchè non si senta abbandonato e triste ? fai come ti pare ?

All'assaggio della birra come posso sapere se la frizzantezza al palato è in linea con il grado di CO2 che volevo raggiungere?
Ho preparato co il KIT una PILSNER. Stando alla tabella dei volumi di CO2 per questo stile, i valori MIN e MAX sono 2.3 e 2.5. Ma se per caso avessi ottenuto un valore inferiore o superiore e quindi risulti poco o troppo gasata per questo stile?
Esiste uno strumento che misura la Co2?

Ciao a tutti, vorrei farvi alcune domande, per risolvere alcuni miei dubbi, premetto che mi appresto ad effettuare le mie prime cotte in e+g (dopo aver fatto 5 cotte con i kit), e come prima cotta vorrei fare uno di quei kit e+g (giusto per prendere la mano con il nuovo sistema e la bollitura dei luppoli) poi vorrei passare a ricette trovate in internet e poi provare a creare ricette mia con i vari programmi di hb (questo è quello che vorrei fare).
Per quanto riguarda L'attrezzatura attualmente dispongo di tutto quello che era compreso nel kit di partenza (2 fermentatori da 32 L, paletta ecc) in più ho già a mia disposizione termometro con sonda, rifrattometro, cartine tornasole e 2 pentoloni in acciaio inox da 70 L (cada 1), (sono alla ricerca di un fornellone da 8,5 kw e del mulino).
Ora che ho spiegato un po' la mia situazione vi faccio le mie domande:
1)per fare cotte da 50 L può andar bene dividere la cotta nei 2 fermentatori da 32 L che ho già oppure dovrei comprare un fermentatore più grande tipo da 70 L ?? Se si mi potete consigliare quale e di che materiale? (Facendo una media qualità prezzo, calcolando il fatto che molto probabilmente passerò anche ad ag)
2)dove posso trovare ricette su internet in e+g da 50 L ?? Ad ora le ho trovate tutte per le classiche 23 L
3)le pentole che ho attualmente sono tutte sprovviste di rubinetteria e filtri vari, voi mi consigliate di mettere il rubinetto e i filtri a tutte e due o soltanto ad una? Voi dove li avete comprati i rubinetti e raccorderia varia ?
Attualmente ho queste domande, mi potete aiutare?

ho in produzione una IPA nella quale ho messo il luppolo in DH domenica scorsa, ora la prossima domenica vorrei winterizzare per 7 gg per avere una birra più chiara e il mio dubbio è se lasciare o no il luppolo in DH oppure travasare e winterizzare (per poi travasare e imbottigliare)... secondo voi quali sono i rischi di due settimane di DH?

buongiorno vorrei fare con il malto pronto della brewferm la belga amdij,,nella ricetta per i nove litri dicono di aggiungere 450 gr di zucchero,,io ne voglio fare 18 di litri,quindi mettero piu' o meno 900 grammi di zuccheri giusto?tipo 500 candito e 400 di brewing sugar,ora il lievito usero' se va bene il t-58,meglio usarne due di bustine?grazie mille

Sono nuovo nel gruppo, mi hanno regalato il kit mr.malt con la latta "lager coopers"
è la prima volta e sono pieno di dubbi ed totalmente ignorante in materia , spero voi possiate aiutarmi.
Premetto che è da una settimana che la birra sta fermentando, oggi dopo aver visto il gorgogliatore "fermo" mi sono deciso a fare la prova con il densimetro, con il risultato 1012, rispetto ai 1006 della guida tecnica.
cosi ho deciso di lasciare a fermentare il tutto ancora per un paio di giorni.
Appena chiuso il tutto, il gorgogliatore ha ricominciato ad andare (in modo debole, ma comunque attivo), perchè è successo questa cosa? nel caso non diminuisca la densità nei prossimi giorni, a cosa vado incontro una volta imbottigliata?

Ciao a tutti sono Giovanni, sono nuovo sul forum, faccio birra da circa tre anni ma con tecnica all grain solo da poco e sono molto interessato a migliorare il mio impianto.
Speravo in qualche vostro consiglio su come poter motorizzare le pale per l ammostamento al fine aumentare di efficenza dell impianto, e limitare gli improvvisi sbalzi termici che si creano nel momento in cui smetto di mescolare a mano, rischiando poi di stratificare la temperatura.
Per quanto riguarda la velocità di mescolamento e la coppia ottimale che genere di motore mi consigliereste? al fine di ottenere qualcosa di valido senza andare a spender troppi soldi.
Il mio impianto è per realizzare circa 50 l di birra a piena resa.
